Bobby East runs the 2005 Copper World Classic. USAC implemented the new generation pavement silver crowns for the 2006 season.

Billy Wease runs a new generation pavement car at Iowa Speedway in 2007. USAC is meeting to discuss the its plans for the series in 2008. There is talk the old style cars may have a place in USAC competition in 2008.
