Ultimate Challenge now under USAC sanctioning.

The 2008 Ultimate Challenge non-wing sprint car race at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa is now a USAC sanctioned show. This move replaces the Sprint Bandits as sanctioning body.

This does create conflicting dates between USAC's National Sprint Car and National Midget Series. The Ultimate Challenge is scheduled for August 5th, the first night of USAC's Indiana Midget week. Some drivers will have to choose if they're going to run the midget or the sprint. That night. The $30,000 top prize is certainly a convincing factor. Currently, it's the richest single payday in non-wing sprint car racing.

Hopefully a solution can be reached to give teams and drivers a chance to run both.
