Andretti Green Racing drivers Dario Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, and Marco Andretti on their way to Carb Day practice. Franchitti would win the rain shortened event. Kanaan looked like he had the car to win, but was involved in an on track incident and finished 12th. Andretti would challenge for the win, but crashed immediately before the second rain storm. He was credited with 24th.

David Letterman was on hand for the 91st Indy 500 to watch his drivers, Scott Sharp and Jeff Simmons.

2006 Indy 500 champion Sam Hornish Jr. accepts his price for "Hot Lap of the Day" on Friday morning. Hornish Jr. finished the 91st Indy 500 in 4th place.

Michael Andretti's car. He claims that 2007 will be the final year he runs the 500. He finished in 13th position.

Bobby Rahal, former winner of the 500 and team co-owner with David Letterman. Their cars driven by Scott Sharp and Jeff Simmons finished 6th and 11th.
