Dover Geared Up For ASCS / Wesmar Racing Engines Challenge

SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (October 10, 2007) -- After a month off, Nebraska’s Jack Dover will hit the road once again with hopes of continuing his 360 Sprint Car hot streak. Dover has claimed three feature wins and a runner up finish in his last four races aboard his family owned, Eckley powered No. 53 Eagle.

This weekend Team Dover will make the trek south to compete in the 34th Winter Nationals and ASCS / Wesmar Racing Engines Challenge at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX, on Friday and Saturday. Dover, at just 17 years of age is the youngest of the twenty-six invitees competing in the ASCS / Wesmar challenge.

“I'm really pumped up for this weekend.” Stated Dover. “I’m looking forward to returning to Devil’s Bowl and working with Wayne Priddy at his home track.” Hopefully we can get the hot set up on the car and drive it to the front.” Priddy, a former crew member for Jason Johnson has been helping Team Dover with advice throughout the 2007 season and will be the team’s crew chief for the weekend.

The ASCS/Wesmar Challenge is a three part invitational event featuring the top ASCoT contenders and two invitees from each ASCS Region. The first two segments will be run on Friday night, the final on Saturday night and the top point earner will be awarded a new Wesmar Racing Engine.
