Nebraska's Chili Bowl Drivers
Don Droud Jr. of Lincoln and Tadd Holliman of Beaver Lake are the only two Nebraska drivers entered in the 2009 Chili Bowl.
Holliman is scheduled to run on Wednesday night. He joins an experienced line up that includes four time event winner Sammy Swindell and past champions Johnny Heydenreich and Tim McCreadie. Kansas City winner Bryan Clauson is also scheduled to run Wednesday.
Droud will attempt to qualify for his third Chili Bowl A feature Thursday night. Droud will be challenged by defending event winner Damion Gardner, and past champions Tracy Hines, Scott Hatton and Jay Drake. They are joined by the 2008 Belleville Midget Nationals champion Brad Sweet.
In case you were wondering, California has the largest contingent of drivers at 55. Indiana is second highest with 37. Host state Oklahoma is third with 28.
