Task force supports motor sports facility

A committee that spent the last two months evaluating the impact a motor sports facility could have in Lancaster County unanimously signed off Wednesday on a report that's now headed to the County Board.A motor sports facility in the county presents a unique economic development opportunity for Lancaster County and the city of Lincoln, according to the Motor Sports Task Force’s final report. Additionally, the greatest economic impact can be achieved through private development while public funding would diminish the economic impact, the task force concluded.

-I'm glad to see some positive news coming out of this. While I'm not a big fan of drag racing, a move like this could provide pivotal for any future motorsports in Lincoln.
